    If you plan to apply for U.S. immigration, you will need to get a proper immigration medical examination done. This is mandatory. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) requires all individuals to have a medical examination if they want to apply for adjustment of status. Moreover, the medical examination should only be conducted by a designated USCIS civil surgeon.

    Comprehensive Examination

    The medical examination for immigration is comprehensive. Performed by our certified civil surgeon, the examination includes the following parts:
    • Physical Exam
    • Discussing along with recommending requirements for vaccination to complete 1-693 form successfully
    • Sealing the form in an envelope and providing a full copy record for the patient

     

    Vaccination Requirements

    As per the law, the required vaccines(subject to age) for the immigration medical exam are the following:

    • Measles
    • Rubella
    • Polio
    • Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
    • Pertussis
    • Haemophilus influenzae type B
    • Hepatitis B
    • COVID-19
    • Rotavirus
    • Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)
    • Any other vaccine-preventable diseases recommended by CDC

    Blood Work Requirements

    The blood work requirements include subject to age:
    • T.B. Gold test (in case it comes positive, then you will be required to perform an X-ray)
    • Syphilis (in case it comes positive, then additional confirmatory test to order )
    • Gonorrhea
     

    Items to Bring For the Immigration Medical Exam

    Please note that there are certain requirements by law that you must fulfill when you come to our clinic for the immigration medical examination. This will help us proceed without any delay.
    The items that you must carry along with you on the day of the examination are listed below:
    • Please fill out the I693 form in the office (including the name and A# on each page if available)
    • Bring your original Passport or any other government-issued photo I.D. such as Driver’s License, State I.D., Consular I.D., or School I.D. Also, make sure that they are current/valid.
    • Proof of your vaccinations if available (Translated to English if necessary)
    • Immunization Records if any
    • T.B. treatment records if any
    • Prior mental health records if any
