    • Operate commercial vehicles on interstate with a gross weight combination, gross rating of vehicle weight, or gross rating of combination weight of more than 10,000 pounds

  • Things You Should Bring To Your DOT Physical

    Windermere Medical Group follows the requirements and guidelines highlighted by the Department of Transportation (DOT). To ensure that you have a smooth service, be sure to have all the following with you for your appointment:

    • Complete list of prescription and over-the-counter medications you are taking
    • Take your medication before the appointment if you are a hypertension patient. You are required to have a blood pressure under the DOT guidelines
    • If you are a diabetic patient, you must bring a proof by your primary physician showing your health is under control. You are required to bring the lab results of Fasting Blood Sugar and Hemoglobin A1C, conducting within the last three months.
    • Bring your sleep study results if you are sleep apnea patient
    • If you use CPAP machine, you need to bring proof of compliant usage
    • If you suffer from cardiac conditions, bring your EKG, stress test, and a note from your cardiologist that states you can fulfill the job of a commercial driver safely
